Symptom
"Menu Lock"
appears when
"Presets" (menu/exit)
button is pressed and
held.
Cannot activate
recorder or printer
from camera head
button.
Possible Cause
♦ The camera controller's "Menu
Lock" has been turned on.
♦ Video cables not connected
properly.
♦ Remote cable not connected to
controller and/or recorder/
printer remote connectors.
♦ Remote cable faulty.
♦ Recorder/printer power not on.
♦ Video cables damaged.
♦ Recorder/printer setup
incorrect.
♦ Camera head button sticking.
♦ Faulty camera head and/or
cable.
♦ Recorder/printer option not
selected in "Button Menu".

Corrective Action
♦ Contact your local Linvatec
representative for information to
unlock the menu.
♦ Connect video cables correctly.
♦ Connect remote cable to
controller and/or recorder/printer
remote connectors.
♦ Replace remote cable.
♦ Turn on recorder/printer power.
♦ Check video cables for damage,
replace as necessary.
♦ Check recorder/printer setup.
Reference manufacturer's
instruction guide.
♦ Clean around head button with
cotton swab and alcohol. If not
the cause and problem persists,
return camera head to Linvatec
for repair.
♦ Replace camera head with a
known working unit and press
camera head button. If button
activates device (recorder or
printer) return faulty camera
head to Linvatec for repair.
♦ Set menu selection(s) to the
appropriate device (see "2.1.6
Menu Operation" on page 16
for information on how to make
appropriate selections).
