MAINTENANCE

Regular and proper maintenance of your 3CCD
Digital Cameras and/or camera heads are the
best ways to protect your investment. It is essen-
tial that you have your equipment serviced, as
scheduled, in order to retain its optimum perfor-
mance and reliability, which will reward you
with safer, less problematic product perfor-
mance over time. Linvatec recommends that the
3CCD Digital Camera be returned to the factory
for routine maintenance every 24 months. Like-
wise, camera heads should be returned every 12
months.
Recommended care and handling of the camera
and camera heads includes proper day-to-day
operation, cleaning, and sterilization which are
extremely important to ensure safe and efficient
operation.
Your authorized Linvatec service department is
the most knowledgeable about the Linvatec
Camera Systems and/or camera heads and will
provide competent and efficient service. Any
services and/or repairs done by any unautho-
rized repair facility may result in reduced per-
formance of the instruments or instrument
failure.

Cleaning and Sterilizing

Follow universal precautions for protective
apparel when handling and cleaning contami-
nated instruments.
3.1.1

Cleaning the Camera Controller

1. Turn the controller power off. Disconnect
the power cord from the electrical power
source and from the rear of the controller.
2. Remove the camera head from the control-
ler.
3. Wipe controller with a clean, soft cloth
dampened with a mild, pH- balanced deter-
gent.
4. Wipe again with distilled or sterilized water.
5. Wipe dry with a clean, soft cloth.
CAUTION: Do not sterilize the
controller or immerse it in liquids or
disinfectant solution.
