eXtra is equipped with a user-friendly and practical electric cup warmer, located on the top of the
machine, which reaches the ideal temperature about three minutes after it is switched on at position 1 or
2 on the general power switch (ref. K).
The coffee groups must be cleaned weekly. To clean them, you have to make a coffee without a pod.
Lower the pod-press lever (ref. F), place sufficiently large cups under all the coffee spouts and press the
respective long coffee key (1, 4, 6, 9); after about three seconds, hot water will start to flow out. Once the
programmed dose has been reached, the water dispensing will stop automatically.
The steam wand must be cleaned daily if used. To do this, place the steam wand (ref. M) inside a cup
or other recipient containing only clean water and turn the steam knob (ref. I) anticlockwise until the
maximum steam output is reached. After one minute, turn the same knob clockwise again until the steam
output stops completely. Wait until the steam wand has cooled sufficiently, then clean its outer surface
with a soft cloth dampened with hot water.
Remove all deposits (e.g. milk) to prevent obstruction of the steam outlet holes.
Any type of cleaning, except that of the brewing unit, must be carried out when the machine is turned off
(general power switch on zero) and after it has cooled down. To clean the external surface of the machine,
use a soft wet cloth. The drip tray (ref. A) must be removed and washed with hot water and soap using a
non-abrasive sponge and must be thoroughly dried before being reinserted.
Repairs must be exclusively executed by authorized and qualified personnel. If you are unable to solve the
problems with the help of the following table, please contact your Authorized Retailer.
CUP WARMER (ref. G)
Do not touch the cup warmer and do not expose your face to the hot parts
of the machine (danger of burns). The heating surfaces of the machine are
subject to residual heat even
after use!
COFFEE GROUP AND STEAM WAND CLEANING
MACHINE CLEANING
Do not use the dishwasher to clean the machine or its components. They
would be irreparably damaged! Do not use solvents and abrasive products or
materials.

COMMON PROBLEMS AND POSSIBLE SOLUTIONS

Any repairs executed without observing the manufacturing specifications and/
or using non-original spare parts may be a source of danger to the user. If the
water in the tank runs out (or if mains water fails) the pumps may burn and
consequently the machine may short-circuit.
