Maintenance is very important for
keeping your trailer in safe operating
condition.
The maintenance schedule does not
exempt the pre-use inspection.
N N O O T T E E : :
If trailer is used all year round, carry
out both Storage and Pre-Season
maintenance operations once a year.
A A t t S S t t o o r r a a g g e e
Carry out the following at trailer
storage:
– Inflate tires to recommended
pressure.
– Check coupler condition and
lubricate.
– Lubricate jack.
– Apply Dielectric grease in all elec-
tric connectors and light bulb sock-
et to prevent corrosion.
– Trailers with winch: Check winch
and strap condition. Lubricate
winch mechanism.
– If possible, park trailer in a pro-
tected area, garage, carport, etc.
– Raise trailer and place blocks
under trailer frame to take most of
the weight off the suspension and
tires.

Carry out the following before using
trailer after a storage period:
– Inspect wheels for damage.
– Check tightness of all fasteners.
– Check wheel bearing and seals.
– Check wiring harness and connec-
tor condition.
– Inspect tongue safety cables.
