Error Message

If one of the following messages appears on the touch panel, then an error has occurred on the scanner. Handle the error according to the
countermeasure procedure.
Error messages
Scanner cover is open.
An invalid value has been set.
Please try again.
Connection failed.
Set it again.
The connection has timed out.
Please try again.
This function is available only when connecting with
an Ethernet cable or Wi-Fi. Change the connection
mode and try again.
To maintain maximum performance, the current
rollers should be replaced now.
Please refer to the instructions in the User Manual.
Paper jammed in scanner, clear paper and
continue.
A double paper-feed has occured.
Please check the document and the scanned
image on the display and scan the document again.
No page was found in the feeder.
Could not confirm storage location. Check if path,
user name, or password are wrong?
Hardware error.
Symptom
Front unit is open.
An invalid character was input when the IP
address was set manually.
Failed to connect to Wi-Fi when switching
the connection mode.
Wi-Fi settings were done, but connections
failed.
Timeout occurred because you forgot to
press the router button, when doing the
WPS (Wi-Fi Protected Setup) settings.
Use of [Shared Folder] was attempted
during USB connection.
The number of scanned pages has
exceeded 200,000, which exceeds the
number of pages for the service life of the
rollers.
Paper jammed while scanning.
Paper double fed while scanning.
No document was loaded.
The save destination is incorrect.
There is an internal scanner error.

Countermeasure
Close the front unit.
Input a valid IP address.
Refer to "Q3. Scanner is not recognized." in
Troubleshooting, and check the status of the
Wi-Fi connection.
Refer to the Setup Guide, and check the Wi-
Fi settings.
Redo the connection operations from the
beginning.
Change the connection mode to wired LAN
connection (DR-S150 only) or Wi-Fi
connection, and then redo the operation.
Replace the rollers (See p. 110)
Open the front unit, and then remove the
jammed document.
Open the front unit, and then remove the
jammed document. Check the document,
and then scan the document again.
Load a document in the scanner's feeder.
Set the correct save destination, user name,
and password in CaptureOnTouch Job Tool.
Turn the power off and then on again. If the
error appears even after turning the power
off and then on again, make a note of the
contents of the message, and then contact
your service representative.
