*If the item "Configure SATA as" above is set to RAID, the following items will become
available for configuration:
SATA RSTe Boot Info
Select Enable to provide full int13h support for the devices attached to SATA controller. The
options are Disable and Enable.
SATA RAID Option ROM/UEFI Driver
Select UEFI to load the EFI driver for system boot. Select Legacy to load a legacy driver for
system boot. The options are Disable, EFI, and Legacy.
SATA Port 0 ~ Port 7
This item displays the information detected on the installed SATA drive on the particular SATA
port.
Model number of drive and capacity
Software Preserve Support
Port 0 ~ Port 7 Hot Plug
Set this item to Enable for hot plug support, which will allow the user to replace a SATA
drive without shutting down the system. The options are Disable and Enable.
Port 0 ~ Port 7 Spin Up Device
On an edge detect from 0 to 1, set this item to allow the PCH to initialize the device. The
options are Disable and Enable.
Port 0 ~ Port 7 SATA Device Type
Use this item to specify if the SATA port specified by the user should be connected to a Solid
State drive or a Hard Disk Drive. The options are Hard Disk Drive and Solid State Drive.
PCH sSATA Configuration
When this submenu is selected, the AMI BIOS automatically detects the presence of the SATA
devices that are supported by the Intel PCH chip and displays the following items:
sSATA Controller
This item enables or disables the onboard sSATA controller supported by the Intel PCH chip.
The options are Enable and Disable.
Configure sSATA as
Select AHCI to configure an sSATA drive specified by the user as an AHCI drive. Select RAID
to configure an sSATA drive specified by the user as a RAID drive. The options are AHCI
and RAID.
