Mounting and Connection

5.3.1 Mounting

The G4F.. gateway design makes it possible to mount the device to a 35 mm - DIN
rail in accordance with EN 50022. It can also be mounted on a wall. Mounting holes
have been included in the design of the black base for this purpose.
The following steps should be taken when mounting the gateway:
1. Mount the base first
2. Insert the AS-I flat cable in the base
3. Screw the gateway to the base
4. Operation
A mark on one side of the base connector indicates the mounting direc-
tion. The mark is located on the opposite side of the PG threads
Before the configuration could be started it must be guaranteed, that the
base connector is via the electromechanical interface (EMS) connected
to the AS-i transmission line. For this the screws, which connects the
gateway to the base part, has to be screwed down. After this the cover
can be removed.

5.3.2 Gateway Connection to the AS-I Transmission Cable

to the base.
