Starting assistance

In the event that the batteries are unable to
start the engine, auxiliary batteries can be
used to help in starting. These batteries are
connected in parallel with the ordinary bus
batteries.
For more information about the auxiliary
batteries connection to the electrical system
bus, see separate operating instructions:
"I-Start".
For connect the batteries in case of starting
assistance, proceed as follows:
Note: The batteries polarity is indicated by
decals on both batteries compartments.
Note the polarity plus to plus and minus to
minus. It is important to handle the battery
in a suitable environment, contact a Volvo
dealer when discarding or storing batteries.
