Notes on setting up safety light curtains
The safety device must be arranged in such a manner that it is impossible to reach
over, reach under, or walk behind the protection field. If the distance from the
safety device is too great, additional safety equipment must be put in place (see
illustration below).
Reaching over
The user must not be able to reach over the protection field and into the
hazardous area (A: protection field, B: mechanical protection).
Walking behind
The machine operator must not be able to walk between the light curtain and into
the hazardous area (A: protection field, B: mechanical protection).
