6. Causes of Error and Troubleshooting

Error
Safety cutting system can not be moved at first
time use.
Safety cutting system locks up after long time use.
Cutting edges are not clean, the loss of
performance values are too high.

7. Warranty

The delivered product is subject to a statuatory warranty period. The warranty does not cover wear and tear
parts, such as, stripping blades, cutting blades, and so on.

8. Maintenance and Service

The tools for polymeric optical fiber must be in a proper and clean working condition before starting any job.
Possible damages must be repaired immediately. The hinges of the tool must be lubricated with high-quality
light oil and protected from dirt. All bolts must be secured by retaining rings.
All repairs, except the issues described in chapter 6, must be performed by the manufacturer or an authorized
dealer.

Cause and Solution
The transportation lock was, either not at all or only
partially, removed. Use the Allen wrench
1,5 mm, which is packaged with the tool, to
remove the transportation lock.
The capacity of 2500 cuts is reached - the cutting
system needs to be replaced.
The circular blade is damaged:
· For manual blade advance change the setting of
the blade
· If necessary, have the manufacturer exchange the
blade or the cutting system for you
