5. Exchange of Cutting Devices

The cutting devices are designed for 2500 cuts per cutting blade. In order not to exceed the permissable
loss in performance of the POF-cable, it becomes necessary to excange the cutting device after the cutting
limit (2500 cuts) is reached (refer to the exchange process to the additional owner's manual!):

Place cable into cable groove 2 of the stripping area (select the
stripping length, so that the stripping aid can penetrate the insulation).
·
Lift the handle of the stripping aid upwards, the insulation is hereby
removed from the cutting point.
·
Close the plier handles until you hear the last ratcheting sound, so
that the automatic locking mechanism is released and the tool opens
by itself.
·
Remove cable.
·
Pull the remaining insulation off the POF-fiber core by hand.
·
For cutting, place the cable in cable groove 1 up to the integrated
stop and close the tool handles until you hear the last ratcheting
sound.
·
Pull lever in the direction of the arrow until the cut has been made.
·
Push lever back to it's original position.
·
Close the plier handles until you hear the last ratcheting sound, so
that the automatic locking mechanism is released and the tool opens
by itself.
·
Remove cable.
·
For cutting, place cable into cable groove 1 and close the tool
handles until you hear the last ratcheting sound.
·
Pull lever in the direction of the arrow until the cut has been made.
·
Push lever back to it's original position.
·
Close the plier handles until you hear the last ratcheting sound, so
that the automatic locking mechanism is released and the tool opens
by itself.

Place cable into the stripping area.
·
Select the approriate stripping length individually, depending on
the connector (select the stripping length, so that the stripping aid
can penetrate the insulation).
·
Lift the handle of the stripping aid upwards, the insulation is hereby
removed from the cutting point.
·
Close the plier handles until you hear the last ratcheting sound, so
that the automatic locking mechanism is released and the tool opens
by itself.
·
Remove cable.
·
Remove the remaining insulation from the POF-fiber core by hand.
