KGUARD Standalone DVR KG-SHA116 User Manual
If your ISP uses STATIC IP network, select STATCI network TYPE.
All functions:
A.STATIC: Network TYPE.
B.PORT (media port): For DVR connection.
C.WEB PORT (Must be different from media PORT): For using in http.
D.IP Address:
E.NETMASK(Sub Mask): the default value is 255.255.255.0.
F. GATEWAY:
A link between two computer programs allowing them to share information and bypass
certain protocols on a host computer.
G. DNS: Domain Name Server
If you are using PPPoE dial-up network, select PPPoE network TYPE.
1. If your ISP provides you a Static IP Address, select STATIC as the network TYPE.
2. Input the PORT (media port)
3. Input the WEB PORT (Must be different from media PORT)
4. Enter your PPPoE NAME and PASSWORD so your DVR will be able to obtain service from your
ISP.
5. Enter the DNS (Domain Name Server) address.
6. You will need to apply for a Dynamic DNS (DDNS) account and register a Domain Name with
one of the known DDNS provider. Enter your DDNS Provider's HOST NAME, USERNAME, and
PASSWORD in the DDNS SETUP page.

5.2.6.3. Ports

Recommended media & web port input range: 1024 to 65535. If you want to visit your DVR from
internet, you must forward the ports used in the DVR network settings at the virtual server option of
your router.
