Replacing a fan

NOTICE
Improper fan storage
Even if the fan is not used, the bearing grease ages. The utility of the fan can be impaired.
Rotate the fan at least once a year. Do not store the fan for longer than two years before
commissioning.
Injury caused by rotating fan
If the converter is equipped with a temperature-controlled fan, the fan can run on even if the
power section is switched off. You can be injured if you touch the fan.
● Wait until the fan has shut down.
For reliable operation, the fans must also be fitted with a monitoring device. Replace the fan in
good time to maintain the availability of the device.
Removing the fan
1. Disconnect the equipment.
2. Switch off the motor protection switch.
