PPPoA Connection
PPPoA is also known as RFC 2364. It is a method of encapsulating PPP packets in ATM cells that are carried
over the DSL connection. PPP or Point-to-Point Protocol, is a method of establishing a network
connection/session between network hosts. It usually provides a mechanism for authenticating users.
Logical Link Control (LLC) and Virtual Circuit (VC) are two different methods of encapsulating the PPP
packet. Contact your service provider to determine which encapsulation is being used on your Internet
connection.
