U se valve spring com pressor 800 0 39521 to rem o ve the valves. B e careful
not to dam age th e gasket surfaces or the com bustion cham ber of th e c ylin-
der head. M ake sure that the valve spring com pres sor alw a ys is straight.
O therw ise th e valve stem can be bent. T o p revent loss of tension, don t com -
press the valve springs m ore than necessary.
M ark all parts, so that the y can be reassem bled correctly. If the valve cotters
have m ade a bu rr on the valve stem , rem ove it before rem oving the valve.

Lift off the c ylinder. T ap ca refully the existing bosses w ith a m allet.
