This standard work checklist is to be used by the installer in conjunction with, not instead of, the instructions contained in
this installation manual.

Appliance Install Information
Veri ed clearances to combustibles requirements are maintained. (Pg. 13-16)
Veri ed that the chase is insulated and sealed. (Pg. 17)
Veri ed mantel and wall clearance requirements are maintained. (Pg. 49-50)
Veri ed hearth extension requirements are maintained. (Pg. 18)
Veri ed appliance is leveled and secured. (Pg. 35)
Veri ed required factory-supplied non-combustible board installed. (Pg. 36)
Venting/Chimney Section 7 (Pg. 37-40)
Veri ed venting con guration complies to vent diagrams.
Veri ed venting installed, locked and sealed/secured in place.
Veri ed venting meets clearance to combustible requirements.
Veri ed wall/ceiling restops are installed (if applicable).
Veri ed attic insulation shield is installed (if applicable).
Veri ed Exterior wall/Roof ashing is installed and sealed.
Veri ed termination cap is installed and sealed.
Electrical Section 8 (Pg. 41-43)
Veri ed unswitched power (110-120 VAC) provided to the appliance.
Veri ed wall switch wires are properly installed (if applicable).
Gas Section 9 (Pg. 44-45)
Veri ed appliance is using proper fuel type.
If converted, veri ed proper fuel conversion kit was used.
Veri ed that gas components ( ttings, pressure taps, etc) are leak free and replace is
operating under correct pressures.
Finishing Section 10 (Pg. 46-51)
Veri ed that nish material does not interfere with install/operation of decorative front.
Veri ed combustible materials are not installed in non-combustible areas.
Veri ed all clearances meet installation manual requirements.
Veri ed mantels/wall projections comply with installation manual requirements.
Appliance Setup Section 11 (Pg. 52-66)
Veri ed all packaging and protective materials are removed (inside & outside of appliance).
Veri ed refractory ( ber or glass) is installed properly.
Veri ed Teco-Sil installed and properly fogged with black high temperature paint.
Veri ed Lava Rock, Mystic Embers, Glowing Embers, and logs installed correctly.
Veri ed xed glass assembly installed and secured.
Veri ed that a required decorative door option is installed properly.
Veri ed remote control has been programmed and is fully functional.
Veri ed proper air shutter setting for installation type and vent con guration.
Manual bag and all of its contents are removed from inside/under
the appliance and given to party responsible for use and operation.
Hearth & Home Technologies recommends the following:
• Photographing the installation and copying this checklist for your le.
• That this checklist remain visible at all times on the appliance until the installation is complete.
