Own ship setup
This dialog is used for defining the CCRP and the GPS sensor position.
CCRP
- Sets the approximate location for the common reference point. This is the ship's bridge
and location of the radar operator. With the radar antenna position also defined, the
radar can calculate the bearing and distance of radar targets relative to the CCRP.
GPS Sensor
- Sets the approximate location for the primary GPS position sensor. This is relevant to
correct positioning of AIS targets on the PPI. The position is entered relative to the
CCRP.
MMSI
Used for entering your own MMSI (Maritime Mobile Service Identity) number into the system.
You need to have this number entered to receive addressed messages from AIS and DSC
vessels. You also need to have your MMSI number entered to avoid seeing your own vessel
as an AIS target.
Own ship AIS data
Displays the data received from own vessel's AIS system.
