Program recording
Desired CD tracks can be programed in the desired sequence and recorded onto a tape.
The tape deck of the unit can record signals only on Normal (Type ) tapes. It cannot record on High (Type ) and
M etal (Type
) tapes.
Be sure to put the cassette deck in stop mode.

M ake preparation for recording.

Select the CD input.

Ensure that the "RDM " indicators are not lit.

Perform steps 1 to 3 of the procedure in "Recording on TAPE". §

Insert disc in the CD player.
÷ If the " RDM " indicator is lit, turn it off by pressing the RANDOM key to cancel the random play mode.

Program the desired sequence of CD tracks.
Perform steps 1 and 2 of the procedure in "Lis-
tening to the desired sequence (program play-
back)". ª

Start recording.
If you are operating the remote, the same effect as
step 3 can be obtained by simply pressing the
O.T.E. key to start recording.
To interrupt a recording
(Recording and playback w ill be stopped)
(CD = TAPE)
÷ When the PGM key is pressed to cancel the edited con-
tents, the entire editing contents w ill be erased.
÷ Tracks programed beyond the available tape recording
time w ill be interrupted in the middle.
÷ Recording starts from the first track in the program and
ends after having recorded the entire program ed
tracks.
÷ Recording stops automatically w hen the program play-
back of CD has completed.
÷ When either playback or recording stops, the other op-
eration is stopped automatically.
At the end of the recording
Cassette deck
:
Stop is executed after an unre-
corded portion of about 4 sec. has
been produced.
