The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) exhaust
emission label is attached on top of the valve cover. The EPA
label typically includes the following:

Model year
•
Engine family, model, and displacement
•
Advertised brake horsepower and torque rating
•
Emission family and control systems
•
Valve lash specifications
•
Engine serial number
•
EPA, EURO, and reserved fields for specific applications

Air conditioning compressor
