5. To enable the closed-loop function, press in the button on the panel
of the VH-STACK2 Stacking Module that is installed in the unit with
the master management agent. Use the tip of a pen or other pointed
object to achieve this..
In this stacking configuration, the first switch with the Management
Module has stack ID number 1 and the stack IDs increase consecutively
(up to 7) as switches are added to the stack.
Note the following points about closed-loop stack operation:
• A VH-STACK2 Stacking Module must be installed with the master
Management Module in Unit 1.
• If backup management is used in conjunction with the closed-loop
feature, the backup Management Module must be installed in Unit 2.
• Any changes to the stack, including powering down of a unit or the
insertion of a unit, causes the stack to reboot.
• The stack will re-number itself if a unit in the closed-loop stack fails.

Table 2-1 provides information for the Stacking Modules and interconnect
cables available for the VH-2402S2.
