CONNECTING THE PLANTER TO THE
TRACTOR

Procedure

Back tractor toward planter hitch.
m
WARNING: Stop tractor engine and remove
the key and shift to park, or shift to neutral
and set brakes before dismounting.
IMPORTANT: Clean off hose ends and tractor couplers
to remove dirt before making connections.
Follow tractor manual procedure to relieve internal system
hydraulic pressure, then connect planter hydraulic hoses
to tractor remote outlets.

Connect the 5/8 inch ID raise hose (1) from the left-hand
hitch frame to the tractor outlet showing the extended
cylinder. Connect the 5/8 inch ID lower hose (2) from
right-hand hitch frame to tractor outlet showing retracted
cylinder.

Connect a 3/8 inch ID lower hose (1) from the left-hand
side of the control valve block to the tractor outlet showing
the extended cylinder.
Connect a 3/8 inch ID raise hose (2) from the right-hand
side of the control.
Connect the frame control box harness to the planter
harness.
IMPORTANT: The planter hydraulic system requires
approximately 11 gallons of fluid.
IMPORTANT: Before raising, lowering, unfolding or
folding the planter, make sure hoses and
electrical harnesses cannot be pinched and
damaged during the operation.
Start the tractor engine, turn the frame control box ON
and depress the tongue height switch while using the
tractor remote valve lever to raise or lower the planter
hitch. If necessary, raise or lower the wing wheels to attain
the correct position.
