Blade Installation

To reduce the risk of injury, always discon-
nect power to the saw before changing
blades. Since the blade is sharp, use extra
care and wear gloves when installing it.
To install a new blade:
1.
DISCONNECT SAW FROM POWER!
2.
Raise arbor all the way up, remove blade
guard, table insert (leave insert adjust-
ment screws mounted in table throat), and
spreader/riving knife (see Page 31).
Note: Table insert is held in place by magnet.
3.
Use included arbor wrenches to loosen and
remove arbor nut, flange, and blade (see
Figure 42). Arbor nut has right hand threads;
rotate counterclockwise to loosen.

4.
Install new blade, flange and arbor nut on
arbor, as shown in Figure 43, with upper
teeth facing front of the saw.

5.
Re-install spreader/riving knife (see Page 31),
table insert (see Page 70), and blade guard
(see Page 31).
