  • Page 25: Blade Terminology

The most important consideration when selecting Selecting the right blade for the cut requires an understanding of various blade characteristics. a blade for the Model G0783 is blade pitch, which is typically measured in "teeth per inch" (TPI). Blade Terminology Proper TPI for any cut depends on the cross-sec- tion size and wall thickness of the workpiece.
  • Page 26 If you feel your machine is not functioning properly or performing to your standards, check that the blade pitch is correct for the cut. The procedure that follows is a basic starting point for choosing blade pitch (TPI) for standard HSS blades. -24- G0783 (Mfd. Since 05/15)
