20. Troubleshooting

Malfunctions can occur with any electrical equipment. This is not necessarily
due to PRIMUS defect. As such, you should check the following table to see if
you can eliminate the problem yourself.
Malfunction
No power
No response from
PRIMUS
Remote control does
not work, or only
works sporadically
No sound or poor
sound
Insufficient Wi-Fi signal
strength

Possible cause
Power cable is not
properly
connected.
There is an error in
PRIMUS.
Distance to PRIMUS
is too large.
Battery is empty.
Sound is turned off.
PRIMUS is not set to
the correct
playback mode.
Headset is plugged
in.
FM/DAB or Internet
reception is poor.
There is radio
interference.
Optical Input no
sound
The router is too far
or blocked.
Solution
Connect the power
cable properly.
Disconnect and
reconnect the power
plug. Then turn PRIMUS
on again.
Reduce the distance
between the remote
control and PRIMUS.
Replace the battery.
Adjust the volume.
Select another playback
mode.
Pull the headset out of
the jack.
Extend/adjust the
FM/DAB antenna or
check the Wi-Fi
connection.
Keep PRIMUS away
from other electronic
devices.
Select PCM as output
source in the external
device.
Place PRIMUS closer to
the router or adjust the
position of the Wi-Fi
antenna.
