Installation
A defective Unit might have an affect on the entire network communication,
so a defective Unit must be repaired or replaced quickly. It is recommended
to have spare Units available to restore network operation as quickly as
possible.
Observe the following precautions when replacing a defective Unit:
After replacement, make sure that there are no errors with the new Unit.
When a Unit is being returned for repair, attach a sheet of paper detailing
the problem and return the Unit to your OMRON dealer.
If there is a faulty contact, try wiping the contact with a clean, lint-free
cloth dampened with alcohol.
After replacing a Unit, set the new Unit's switches to the same settings as on
the old Unit.
The CAN network allows to connect and disconnect nodes while in operation.
Note
Do not plug or unplug the C200HW-CORT21 on the PLC backplane while the
PLC is powered. Doing so may result in damage to the Unit and/or the PLC
system.
