A feature which is introduced to give you the possibility to
'Lock' or 'Hide' several functions of the receiver to prevent
unauthorized persons (children) to view broadcasts that are
not suitable for them. The use of the Parental control
requires a PIN-code. With this PIN-code you can change or
unlock the locked or hided recordings and channels.
With this feature, the viewer has to pay a certain price per
month (or other period) to receive all programs of a certain
channel.
Conditional access service where the user is able to buy one
particular program from a particular service provider.
With Pay TV, the consumer has to pay for certain programs
or services.
The PIN-code or Personal Identification Number is
necessary to make use of the parental lock feature. The PIN-
code has four digits which can be set personally.
Broadcasts are done in a particular frequency band. To make
maximum use of a frequency band and bring you the
maximum number of programs, the broadcasts are polarized
in different ways to fit as much as possible programs into one
frequency band.
