Editing Voice s
If you've rea d through a ll the preceding
sections, a nd especia lly if you've been trying out
the va rious fea tures a long the w a y, you should
ha ve a pretty solid grounding in how the AN 1 x
crea tes a nd enha nces sound, a s w ell a s how the
va rious controls w ork to ma nipula te the ma ny
fea tures. This section provides a n overview of
the steps required for the procedure of editing a
voice, a long w ith the k ey procedures required to
build up your ow n voices from scra tch.

Voice Edit Proce dure

The AN 1 x is so naturally intuitive, the pro cedure fo r
editing a vo ice is extremely simple. There are o nly a few
basic steps, as fo llo ws:

5 . Store the voice da ta to a voice m emory
loca tion (1 - 1 2 8 ) using the Voice Store
opera tion (see pa ge 9 8 ).
Parameters which you can edit at any time but which are not stored as voice data
include system-related parameters accessible from the UTILITY SETUP menu, as
well as Effect Bypass status ( VOICE COMMON menu) and MIDI Pattern Transmit
Channel ( VOICE ARPEGGIO/ SEQ menu) . As such, they will remain as set
regardless of which voice is selected.
