You saw the lights blinking showing the default factory presets after which the default C Major scale lits up on the keyboard area.

For Menu related Access the Push-Button needs to be pressed for aprox. 1 second after which the Leds change to give User the necessary feedback to acknowledge his input.

To do this the User needs to access the Assign Window momentarily pressing both Button 4 and 7 at the same time.

Our common Equal Temperament scale defines that every interval is Equal which translates to 1v/octave equals (1v/12notes) 0.08333333v between each note. This is refered to as the Interval Ratio.
