4. Alignment and Troubleshooting

► Error message

Error #U1-2340 Turn off then on

► Symptom
The temperature control of fuser unit is abnormal. (Over Heat Error)
► Troubleshooting method
1) Check the harness connection.
• Check if the related harness like a thermistor harness, fuser motor harness, SMPS harness is connected correctly
and defective. Reconnect or replace the harness.
2) Check the SMPS TRIAC Short test. If test result is abnormal, replace the SMPS board.
a) Check the SMPS Triac resistance for each terminal with DVM.
• Normal Value
-
A-B : 30 MΩ ~ Open (Infinite)
- A-C : 10 Ω ~ 100 Ω
- B-C : 30 MΩ ~ Open (Infinite)
• Abnormal Value
- A-B : 0 Ω ~ 10 Ω
3) Check the main board open test.
• Check the ADC port operation and H/W protect operation.
- Thermistor Open test : After unplugging the fuser connector, check if the U1–2320 error occurs. If the
error occurs, the main board is normal. If not, replace the main board.
