14. Verify that the module is recognized by the NAS.
a. Log on to QTS as administrator.
b. Go to Control Panel > System > System Status > Hardware Information .
c. Check the value for Total memory.

IC Thermal Pads

The HS-453DX comes with preinstalled thermal pads on the CPU, MOSFET, and 10 GbE integrated circuits
(ICs). Repeated removal and attachment of the top cover of the NAS may cause these thermal pads to wear
out, requiring you to replace them periodically.
You can purchase replacement thermal pads at shop.qnap.com.
