Maintenance

The passive leaf lock is maintenance-free.
Important!
Property damage and impaired function due to incorrect lubrication: Do not
lubricate the inside of the passive leaf lock under any circumstances. Do not spray
any lubricants into the passive leaf lock.
Escape doors must be checked for correct and safe function at least once per
month
. In particular:
· inspect and operate all lock functions and make sure that all parts of the lock
(lock and striking plate) function safely.
· All parts of the lock must be clean to prevent blockage.
· No subsequent changes may be made to a fire door and no additional locking
mechanisms may be added.
· Check that all system components still correspond to the list of approved com-
ponents originally supplied with the system.
· Check that all operating elements are securely mounted.
· Measure the actuating forces for releasing the escape door lock with a dynamo-
meter and log the results.
· Check that the actuating forces for releasing the escape door lock have not
changed significantly since the first installation.

Warranty

The statutory warranty periods and Terms and Conditions of Sale and Delivery of
ASSA ABLOY Sicherheitstechnik GmbH (assaabloyopeningsolutions.de) apply.

Disposal

Dispose of lock in accordance with the EPD (Environmental Product Declaration).
Packaging materials must be recycled.
The passive leaf lock can be recycled completely as scrap metal. Dispose of the
passive leaf lock with metal waste.
The applicable environmental protection regulations must be observed.
