Installing Safety Seats in the Front Seat —
Convertible
Your Mustang Convertible is equipped with a
dual locking mode retractor on the lap belt
portion of the lap/shoulder belt at the front
passenger seat.
The automatic locking mode must be used when
installing a child seat in the front passenger seat.
Never install a rear-facing child seat or
infant carrier in the right front passenger
seat.
If you choose to install a child safety seat in the
front seat:
1. Position the child seat in the front passenger
seat of the vehicle.
2. Pull up on the lap belt, Figure 1.
