Turning Power On and Off

. To turn on power
Press the [POWER] button.
[STATUS] lamp
Turning on power causes the camera's
[POWER] lamp
[POWER] lamp to light, indicating the current
state of the battery (page 18). This indicates
[POWER] button
that image recording is enabled.
Sleep Mode
If you do not perform any operation for more than five minutes after turning on power,
the camera will enter a Sleep Mode to conserve battery power. The [STATUS] lamp
slowly flashes green while the camera is in the Sleep Mode. Performing an operation
on the camera will exit the Sleep Mode.
. To turn off power
On the camera, hold down the [POWER] button for about two seconds.
• Release the button when the camera beeps and the [STATUS] lamp flashes a
number of times. The camera turns off when the power down process is complete.
