First, charge the battery prior to use.

Note that the battery of a newly purchased camera is not charged. Perform the steps
below to load the battery into the camera and charge it.
• Your camera requires a special CASIO rechargeable lithium ion battery (NP-150)
for power. Never try to use any other type of battery.

Battery Loading and Charging

1.
Open the cover.
While pulling the [FREE] lever in the
direction indicated by the arrow, rotate the
cover to the left until its 2 mark aligns with
the [FREE] lever and then remove the
cover.

Load the battery.
With the CASIO logo on the battery
upwards, load the battery into the
camera as shown in the illustration.
3.
Perform battery charging.
See page 14 for information about
charging.
4.
Close the cover.
Align the 2 mark on the cover with the
[FREE] lever. Pressing down on the
cover, rotate it to the right until you hear
it click into place.
• Make sure that the inside surface of
the cover (the side that contacts the
battery) is free of foreign matter and
dirt.
• When closing the cover, check if you
can see the orange bands. If you can,
it means that the cover is not fully
closed. Rotate the cover to the right
until the orange bands are no longer visible.
