- Page 3 Seasoning is a term that refers to the soaking of canvas fabric with water so that the tiny holes made by the needle during the manufacturing process swells & seals up the tiny holes b) TJM recommends the awning fabric be soaked through with water & dried to condition the canvas & seams before use.
