C. Oil Drain Tube Removal
NOTICE: There are different part numbers for some of the oil drain tube assemblies. Apply a
label to identify the location of each oil drain tube, in case the drain tube is to be
replaced. Refer to the YO-233-B2A Illustrated Parts Catalog for the correct part
number for the oil drain tube.
(1) Remove the hose clamps (Figure 12) from the
hose attached to the oil drain tube assembly.
(2) Disconnect the hose from the nipple.
(3) Disconnect the drain tube fitting from the engine
cylinder.
(4) Remove and discard the hose.
(5) Remove the oil drain tube assembly from the
cylinder.
(6) Examine the oil drain tube for cracks or damage.
(7) Replace a cracked or damaged drain tube
assembly.
NOTICE: Remove the cylinders by firing order 1-3-2-4 (Figure 13). Remove each cylinder as
an assembly.
NOTICE: During cylinder removal, identify and label the cylinder, piston, and other parts by
location (i.e., cylinder number) as they are removed for reference on assembly (to
ensure that each serviceable part is installed in the same location from which it was
removed).
