Get started Find the device on the network To find Axis devices on the network and assign them IP addresses in Windows®, use AXIS IP Utility or AXIS Device Manager. Both applications are free and can be downloaded from axis.com/support.
Access the device 1. Open a browser and enter the IP address or host name of the Axis device. If you do not know the IP address, use AXIS IP Utility or AXIS Device Manager to find the device on the network.

AXIS Perimeter Defender consists of a desktop interface (B), from where you install and set up the application on the cameras (A). You can then configure the system to send alarms to the Video Management Software (C).

Viewing on poorly performing client computers lowers perceived performance and affects frame rate. Running multiple AXIS Camera Application Platform (ACAP) applications simultaneously may affect the frame rate and the general performance.
