Table 2-2 lists the 24 possible switch settings, the corresponding base I/O address, and the I/O
address space used for that setting. Notice that the base address settings that correspond to an I/O
address in the range from 0 to FF hex are not listed. These addresses are used by logic on the PC
AT motherboard and cannot be used by I/O adapter modules.
