Section - Configuration
The Group configuration information can be viewed by clicking Call Server > Groups. Groups can be of two types
• UserGroup
• Hunt Group
The user group is specifically used for determining user privileges during Call Pickup. A particular user can pick up
calls for him on another extension only if that extension belongs to the same user group as him. A new Group can be
added by clicking Add New. A unique Id needs to be given to each Group. Group Type distinguishes between a user
group and a hunt group. The mode field is relevant only to a hunt group. A hunt group can be configured in one of four
modes (First Only /Sequential /Parallel/Distributed). Members in a user group are added when the user is actually
added to the call server. Hunt Group members can be added/edited/deleted by clicking the edit button in the 'View
members' page.
Note: Each Group (User/Hunt Group) can have a maximum of 20 users. Beyond this a new user group has to be
created to add more users. Also, a user can belong to a maximum of 5 user groups.
