Replacing the pilot bushing

Remove seal ring
Remove washer

Remove washer
Remove O-ring
Remove dust boot

Preliminary work
Remove the spring. (
Disassemble the damper. (
Disassemble the piston rod. (
Disassemble the seal ring retainer. (
Main work
Press pilot bushing
Press drift (T1504) (

Slide the new pilot bushing
Press drift (T1504) (
Position the pilot bushing in the seal ring retainer using the special tool.
Press drift (T1504) (
Support seal ring retainer
bushing all the way in.
Assembly tool (T150S) (

Lubricate the special tool.
Shock absorber oil (SAE 2.5) (50180342S1) (
Calibration pin (T1205) (
Support seal ring retainer
Assembly tool (T150S) (
Press the special tool through the new pilot bushing.
Calibration pin (T1205) (

The pilot bushing is to be calibrated.
Follow-up work
Assemble the seal ring retainer. (
