Information on cutting
1. Before using the device, use manual hedge
shears to cut thicker branches.
2. This device can be used from both sides, and its
shaft can be adjusted accordingly.
3. Always use both hands to operate the device.
4. It is advised to work on hedges in a trapezoidal
manner as this cutting technique complies with
the natural growth of the hedge and prevents the
lower branches from being thinned out too much.
5. Begin by cutting the edges of the hedge. Thereby
move the device from the bottom to the top.
6. Cut the top of the hedge according to your per-
sonal preference.
7. While hedges can take any shape, it is advised to
ensure that they do not get too tall.
8. When using the device, always consider the work
angle for a safe operation and ideal results.
9. Do not use the device while standing on a ladder
or on unstable ground.
Maintenance
Repair and in-depth maintenance work always has to be performed by qualified personnel in
order to ensure a proper and secure operation.
Before cleaning the device or performing repair and maintenance work, always make sure to
turn the device off and to disconnect it from its power supply.
Allow the device to cool down before beginning any kind of cleaning, repair or maintenance
work in order to minimise the risk of injury.
Always only use a wet piece of cloth or a brush to clean the device. Never use sprays or other
means.
In order to avoid damaging the device, never use solvents, detergents or other chemical sub-
stances in order to clean the device.
Air inlets and outlets should always kept clean in order to ensure that the air flow is not ob-
structed.
Make sure to clean the device and its blades after every single use.
Use an oily rag in order to maintain metal parts after cleaning.
Storage
Always store the device in a dry environment inaccessible to children.
Make sure to use the protective cover to keep the blades of the device secure.
