Only use the insulated gripping surfaces to hold and operate the device, since its blades and
metallic parts might make contact with hidden current sources or its own power cord. Making
contact with a live power source involves the risk of electric shock.
Always make sure to keep cables away from the blade of the device. Keep track of the power
cord of the device as well as nearby cables in order to avoid cutting them by accident.
Do not use ladders when operating the device, since a secure stand is essential in order to
minimise the risk of accidents.
Do not exceed an operation angle of 60°, as a safe operation can otherwise not be guaran -
teed.
Do not use the device in order to fell trees.
Never stand beneath the branch that you are cutting, and always keep a safe distance.
Keep bystanders at least 10 m away from the working area.
Always be careful when reaching the end of a cut as the weight of the pruner might shift sud-
denly.
Do not stop the device before withdrawing it from the wood.
