Protective cover
Before using the device, make sure to attach the protective cover with help of the screws included in
the scope of delivery.
1. Align the 3 holes of the protective cover with the corresponding holes loc-
ated at the end of the device head. Make thereby sure that the protective
cover is placed in the direction of the user of the device.
2. Place the steel distance ring on top of the protective cover with the holes
of both parts aligning.
3. Equip 3 screws with washers and securely attach the distance ring and
protective cover by fastening the screws with a hex key.
Cutting element
Only use nylon threads with a diameter of 2.0 mm to operate the device in order to prevent the same
from overheating.
1. Remove the spool from the device.
2. Carefully remove the spool cover in order to access the
inner coil.
3. Withdraw the inner coil, the spring and washer from the
spool casing, remove possible thread remnant, and
clean the aforementioned parts as well as the inside of
the casing with a clean and dry piece of cloth.
4. It is advised to insert two equal pieces of thread with a
total length of 4 m.
5. Insert the thread ends into the holes of the inner coil
and lock them into place.
6. Wind the nylon threads up according to the winding dir-
ection indicated on the coil and place a thumb in
between the threads in order to ensure that they do not
overlap. Further make sure that both threads are coiled
up tightly.
Note:
to be wound up correctly in order to avoid problems
while you use the device.
7. Thread the loose thread ends into the holes of the
spool and correctly reinsert the coil along with the
washer and the spring.
8. Close the cover of the spool and reattach it to the
device.
