Connecting the hob to the mains power supply The power supply should be connected in compliance with the relevant standard, or a single-pole circuit breaker. The method of connection is shown below. Using your Ceramic Hob To start cooking After power on, the buzzer beeps once. All the indicators light up for 1 second then go out. Indicating the ceramic hob has entered the state of standby mode. Touch the ON/OFF control. All the indicators show “-”. Place a suitable pan on the cooking zone that you wish to use.

Boost function The boost function consists of 2 circuits- the center zone and the outer zone. It can be used in the following modes: Center Zone – only first heating unit is turned on Extended Zone(Center + Outer) – Both first and second heating circuits are turned on NOTE: The Boost function for ceramic zone will not turn off automatically after certain of period.
Locking the Controls • You can lock the controls to prevent unintended use (for example children accidentally turning the cooking zones on). • When the controls are locked, all the controls except the ON/OFF control are disabled. To lock the controls button .
Using the Timer You can use the timer in two different ways: • Use it as a minute minder. In this case, the timer will not turn any cooking zone off when the set time is up. • Use it to turn off after the set time is up. You can set the timer for up to 99 minutes. If the timer is set on more than one zone When you set the timer for several cooking zones, the red dot of the related cooking zone will be indicated. The timer display will show the “minutes” countdown for the shortest timer and show the longer timer once the first one finished.

Power Management (EIC-K7012ST(BK) & EIC-K7013ST(BK)) Power sharing function limits the maximum power used. The maximum available power (preset) is shared between the cooking zones. If all zones are turned on, the power management will not allow all zones to operate at full power but will alternate the power among all zones so the total power will be equal to the preset maximum power.
Cooking Guidelines Take care when frying as the oil and fat heat up very quickly, particularly at high power levels. At extremely high temperatures oil and fat will ignite spontaneously and this presents a serious fire risk. Cooking Tips • When food comes to boil, reduce the temperature setting.
