The relevant safety and accident regulations that apply to the
respective application e.g. machine protection guidelines must
be taken into account.
Precautions should be taken to ensure that a control program
that has been interrupted due to voltage dips and failures can
be restarted correctly. Any hazardous, transient operating
states should also be avoided. An emergency stop device
should be enforced if necessary.
To prevent a wire breakage on the signal end from causing
undefined states in the controller, appropriate safety measures
should be taken for the I/O interface as regards the hardware
and software. Control engineering equipment and operating
elements should be installed in a position that protects them
sufficiently against accidental operation.
All safety-related devices of the controlled machine should be
designed so that they can function independently of the control
system. Emergency stop devices must remain effective
according to IEC 204 (corresponds to DIN VDE 113) in all
operating modes of the system. In an emergency, the supply
voltage of all the controlled switching elements must be
disconnected.
Uncontrolled and undefined initialisation processes such as:

start-up after deactivation of the emergency stop device
-
start-up of podis
coupler being addressed by the DP master
may not occur.
You should ensure that the deviations of the mains voltage from
the nominal value are within the permitted tolerance in all the
circuits of the podis

Disconnection and emergency stop
An emergency stop should be enforced if hazardous operating
conditions occur, in particular

during start-up after a voltage dip or failure

during start-up of podis
communication.
