5.2.2
General notes for connecting motors
Please note the chapter about electrical safety
and earthing described in part 1 of the system
WARNING
manual.
The motor feeder connectors may only be
inserted and removed in the de-energised
state.
Note
the
respective types of motor starter.
If a brake is present on the motor, it must be
rated for 400 V AC.
The core cross section of the motor connecting cables must be
adapted to the respective environmental conditions. The
decisive factors for the cross section are the
nominal current of the motor

-
type of wiring
-
ambient temperature
-
material type of the connecting cable (PVC, rubber)
The current norms (VDE 0100) etc. should be observed.
The control units are described in detail in the following
sections. Please take the relevant advice into account.
