WARNING: The VIC429 Video Imaging Chair has a maximum weight, including equipment weight and maximum patient weight, of 224 kg (494 lb), EVENLY DISTRIBUTED.     BRAKING AND STEERING OPERATION WARNING: Patient entry, egress and transfer from the VIC should always be from the center side rail location with the side rail in the down position and brakes locked. WARNING: The brakes should always be applied when patient is not being transported.

    HINGING RAILS 3.7.1 Repositioning the Rail The chair rail has two positions, up and down. Both positions lock the rail into place. To lower the rail: Apply lateral force to the top of the rail (Fig. Figure 3.7-1 3.7-1) and pull on the red rail handle (Fig. 3.7-2).
