BRAKING AND STEERING OPERATION WARNING: Patient entry, egress and transfer from the VIC should always be from the center side rail location with the side rail in the down position and brakes locked. WARNING: The brakes should always be applied when patient is not being transported. -

HINGING RAILS 3.7.1 Repositioning the Rail The chair rail has two positions, up and down. Both positions lock the rail into place. To lower the rail: Apply lateral force to the top of the rail (Fig. Figure 3.7-1 3.7-1) and pull on the red rail handle (Fig. 3.7-2). -
