SPECIAL SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

• Use either bouillon or pure liquid oil
recommended for fondue.
• Do not switch on the appliance
unless there is bouillon or oil in it.
• Do not overfill the pan. The liquid
level must always be between the
minimum and maximum marks
inside the pan, even when there is
food in the pan.
• The pan must not be used on a
hotplate.
• Always place the appliance in the
middle of the table. Be careful of
lights or other objects hanging over
the table.
• Do not allow the cord to hang over
the edge of a table/counter, and
keep it away from hot objects and
naked flames. Check that it is not
possible to pull or trip over the cord
or any extension cord.
• The appliance, the pan and its
accessories get very hot during
use. Make sure you do not touch
the hot surfaces.
• The fondue forks are very sharp. Do
not eat straight off the fondue forks
and be careful of your fingers when
you place meat or vegetables on them.
• The appliance is equipped with
anti-slip rubber feet. In some cases,
the rubber may leave marks on
surfaces that have been treated
with certain types of furniture polish
or other treatments. Once the food
is taken out of the pan, bouillon
or oil may still drip from the food.
Make sure that the surface can
tolerate this and the heat from the
underside of the appliance.
• Used oil must not be poured down
the sink as it may clog the pipes up
when it cools. Dispose of used oil in
accordance with local rules.
Important!
• If the oil bursts into flames, you
must never try to put it out with
water! Place a frying pan over the
pan and wait until the fire goes out
once the oxygen in the pan has
been consumed.
• Never add water or other liquids to
the oil. This is extremely dangerous
and may cause the oil to spit
violently from the pan! Make sure
that the foods are completely dry
and that there is no ice on them
before immersing them in the oil!
• Make sure no water can drip
down into the pan. Do not use the
appliance outside, if there is a risk
of rain!
• Avoid all contact with the hot oil.
Do not move the pan while the oil is
warm! Do not move the appliance
while the pan is on it.
