RESTRICTOR ADJUSTMENT

WARNING:
IMPROPER VENT INSTALLATION MAY CAUSE THE BURNER
FLAMES TO LIFT OR "GHOST." PERFORM A VISUAL
CHECK ON FLAME APPEARANCE AFTER RESTRICTOR
ADJUSTMENT TO ENSURE PROPER PERFORMANCE.
ANY AND ALL ADJUSTMENTS TO THE RESTRICTOR MUST
BE PERFORMED BY A CERTIFIED TECHNICIAN. Adjust the
restrictor to achieve the desired flame appearance on any
top venting configuration with 6 ft (1.83 m) of vertical pipe or
more. Vertical terminations may display an active, compact
flame. If this appearance is not desirable, the restrictor may
need to be adjusted. Allow 15 minutes of burn time before
making any adjustments. Adjust the restrictor as shown.
1. Remove the stove front and the glass frame assembly
from the stove (see the "Glass Frame Assembly" section
of this manual).
2. Reach in through the firebox and use a 1/4" socket or
a flathead screwdriver to loosen the set position screw
as shown. Rotate the restrictor to the desired setting and
retighten the set position screw. NOTE: The restrictor is
set at fully open from the factory. To adjust the restrictor
to a 30° setting, align the right edge of the restrictor
with the 30° setting indicator located to the right of
the restrictor. The restrictor is in the correct location for
a 30° setting, when the right edge of the restrictor is
aligned with the second hole from the top.
