Tips
Anti-stick coating
Because food does not stick to the anti-
stick coating, only very little fat or oil is
necessary when cooking with this dish.
This has the added advantage of
keeping down the calorie count.
Never leave the gourmet oven dish
unattended when cooking with oil or
fats, as these are a fire hazard if al-
lowed to overheat.
When using on a hob, use a low or
medium heat to cook. Before searing
meat, use a high setting for a
maximum of 5 minutes to heat the
dish up evenly. Remember to turn the
heat down once the meat is seared.
To prevent damage to the anti-stick
coating
– Do not over the gourmet oven dish.
Turn the temperature down in good
time.
– Only use plastic or wooden utensils.
Do not use metal or sharp utensils in
it.
– Do not leave food in it for longer than
necessary and never use it for
marinating meat in acidic sauces or
marinades. Prolonged contact with
acidic sauces etc. can damage the
anti-stick coating. The dish will not
suffer damage when used for
cooking acidic foods.
Capacity
When working with recipes giving
quantities for four servings, you can:
– prepare four times the amount when
using the large gourmet oven dish.
– prepare three times the amount when
using the small gourmet oven dish.
Cooking duration
For some dishes you may need to
increase the cooking times given in the
recipe by approx. 20 - 40 minutes.
Shelf level
The gourmet oven should normally be
used on the 2nd shelf level.
For browning off food the 3rd or 4th
shelf level should be used.
In an H 50xx B/BP compact oven with
three shelf levels it should be placed on
the 2nd shelf level.
If the gourmet oven dish does not fit in
the shelf runners of your appliance it
should be placed on the rack.
Temperature
If your recipe does not specify a
temperature, then with:
– Fan plus select a temperature bet-
ween 160 – 180 °C.
– Conventional heat select a
temperature between 180 – 210 °C.
